Poco has unveiled its newest tablet, the Poco Pad M1— a relabeled version of last month’s Redmi Pad 2 Pro. Among the accessories that come with the device, there are a USB-A to USB-C cable, a 33W charger, and of course, the tablet itself. The price tag on this device is a whopping $329, however, those who buy it early can grab it at a discounted price of just $279.
The Poco Pad M1 is available in an unusual blue color that is more vibrant when in direct light. It sports a 12.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The brightness of the panel is rated at 600 nits and that makes it perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.
The tablet is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor set on a 4nm process, which is combined with 8GB of RAM. The battery is 12,000mAh, which is more than enough for long usage, with the company saying 83 days in standby. The battery is charged with 33W fast charging and can also be used to charge other devices at 27W.
The accessory options consist of a Cover case and a Keyboard case. The Cover does not have the origami-style folding of the higher-end Poco Pad X1 but it still works as a basic protector. The Keyboard case is non-magnetic and does not have a trackpad but has a good key travel for efficient typing.
The tablet is placed firmly on its keyboard dock and has a USB-C port that is for both data transfer and external storage. This combination permits the Poco Pad M1 to be used as a lightweight laptop or Chromebook alternative for basic computing tasks.
The Poco Pad M1 is expected to be a good mix of price and performance to the customer that needs a powerful tablet for watching movies, light jobs, and productivity.
